  • Explore key success factors, critical paths, and differences between shutdowns/turnarounds and projects.

Day 2 - Shutdown/Turnaround Preparation

  • Address risk management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Define roles and organization, apply risk-based task selection methods, and review scope.

Day 3 - Shutdown/Turnaround Preparation continued

  • Utilize CBM and degradation analysis for scope visibility.
  • Finalize scope, job analysis, estimating, risk planning, and work breakdown structure.

Day 4 - Shutdown and Turnaround Schedule

  • Understand scheduling terms and concepts, apply CPM, and identify resource constraints.
  • Manage shutdown budgets, assign shutdown work to in-house and contractors, and control contractor activities.

Day 5 - Shutdown and Turnaround, Execution Control and Review

  • Prepare shutdown packages, control data, and manage shutdown quality.
  • Monitor shutdown performance indicators, address emergent work, and conduct shutdown close-out reporting and review.
